Investment Strategy

The Sub-Fund invests mainly in marketable equity securities listed in Japan, including stock index futures, it being understood that investments in stock index futures will always be made in compliance with the provisions of article 9 of the Grand-Ducal Regulation of 8 February 2008 relating to certain definitions of the Investment Fund Law.

Biography	Mr Yoshiro Mizukami established Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation's ("MUFG: Trust Bank") Japan Equity Small Cap team in October 2002 and has been responsible for the strategy since October 2005 when the firm first started managing a dedicated Japan Equity Small Cap portfolio for Japanese domestic pension funds. In March 2015, the MUFG Japan Equity Small Cap fund (a Luxembourg Domiciled UCITS SICAV vehicle) was launched for global investors, employing the same strategy. Four small-cap specialists research and analyse industries and companies for Yoshiro, who makes the investment decisions for the fund. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Engineering from Waseda University. He is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan and has more than 29 years of investment experience.
