Investment Strategy

The Fund is actively managed and aims to provide investors with exposure to high yielding investments primarily through the US syndicated loan market (noninvestment grade securities) with limited exposure to US corporate debt securities that are rated below investment grade (high yield bonds) and collateralised debt obligations.

Biography Nik Persic is an Investment Analyst for the Bentham Asset Management Team. Previously he was at Credit Suisse Performing Credit Strategies where he moved in July 2006 from the Australian Fixed Interest Team at Credit Suisse. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Mr Persic worked for six years for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where he held analytical roles in Corporate Finance, Equity Capital Markets and Institutional Research. Mr Persic’s hybrid securities research was rated No.1 in both the 2003 and 2004 Greenwich/Peter Lee survey of institutional fund managers. Mr Persic holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons)/Bachelor of Economics from the Australian National University.

Biography Richard Quin is the head portfolio manager for Bentham. Prior to this, he was a senior portfolio manager at Credit Suisse for 13 years. Mr Quin spent nine years within the Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM) fixed income team as a credit portfolio manager, before moving internally in July 2006 to the Alternative Investments Credit Investments Group as a Senior Portfolio Manager and a member of the management team. Mr Quin held a number of senior roles during his time at CSAM, including as a member of the division's Global Credit Investment Committee and chair of the Global Swaps Derivative Investment Committee. Mr Quin was responsible for the development of the High Grade Alpha Transfer Fund and the Diversified Fixed Interest funds in Australia, also while at Credit Suisse he established Bentham's current high yield, global income, and syndicated loan funds. Before joining Credit Suisse, Mr Quin was a liability consultant to the South Australian Finance Authority, and spent four years as a bond options trader for the SBSA. Mr Quin holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of South Australia and a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University
