Investment Strategy

The Fund provides exposure to a wide range of Australian credit-based securities (predominantly floating and fixed rate corporate bonds, and asset-backed securities) and cash. The Fund may also have exposure to global investment grade credit securities, global high yield credit securities, emerging market debt, hybrid securities and a range of other credit opportunities when they are expected to outperform and reduce exposure to these sectors when they are expected to underperform.

Biography Andrew is a Senior Portfolio Manager for the Global Fixed Income Team within Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) Credit. Biography Mr. Hanna is Head of Equity Portfolio Management at Knights of Columbus Asset Advisors. Mr. Hanna oversees the firm’s equity strategies and investment process. He serves as lead portfolio manager for the international equity strategy, co‒manages the global strategy, and was a founding team member of the international product launch in 2008. Mr. Hanna has specific expertise in the areas of international investing and risk management. Mr. Hanna has more than 35 years of industry‒related experience. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, he was a senior portfolio manager in the Global Hedge Fund Strategies Group at State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), where he managed US and European equity portfolios and traveled globally to support some of the world’s largest, most sophisticated institutions. He was with SSgA from 1997 to 2005, working in both the Boston and London offices. Prior to SSgA, he was Vice President, Quantitative Analysis, at Standish, Ayer & Wood from 1992-1997. Prior to that, he worked in proprietary trading, small cap portfolio management, and portfolio insurance. Mr. Hanna earned a BS degree in Finance from Pennsylvania State University in 1987 and completed an honors degree with a thesis on derivatives hedging entitled, "Portfolio Insurance ‒ A Simulation Using Binomial Option Pricing Theory." He also attended the Institut Universitaire de Technologie in Nice, France, focusing on European business. He is a graduate of Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, earning an MA with coursework focused on faith‒based economic development and social justice.

Biography Brett’s role as Chief Investment Officer involves providing oversight across all cash, credit, fixed interest and currency portfolios. As a Senior Portfolio Manager, Brett's primary investment focus is absolute return fixed income strategies. Brett is a lead senior portfolio manager for the Macquarie Income Opportunities strategy. Brett is a member of the MIM Global Management Committee. Brett joined Macquarie in 2003 as a senior credit portfolio manager and has been responsible for the management of the credit portfolios since this time. Prior to joining Macquarie, Brett was at BT Funds Management for nine years, having joined BT as a graduate. Brett performed a number of roles in the Fixed Income team at BT including portfolio construction and portfolio management. During this period Brett was also admitted to the David Williams Fellowship program, which is designed to develop select young high achievers.
