Investment Strategy

The investment seeks long-term capital growth; income is a secondary consideration. Under normal market conditions, the portfolio managers will invest at least 80% of the fund's net assets in small cap companies. The portfolio managers consider small cap companies to include those with market capitalizations no larger than that of the largest company in the S&P Small Cap 600® Index or the Russell 2000® Index.

Biography Kevin Laub is a founding member of Dean Capital Management, LLC and lead Portfolio Manager on the Dean Large Cap Value and Multi Cap Value strategies. He also provides research support and oversight to the firm’s other investment strategies. Prior to forming DCM, Kevin was the Chief Investment Officer for C.H. Dean. Before joining Dean in 2006, Kevin worked for American Century Investments where he was an original member of the team that launched the Small Cap Value strategy in 1998, serving as a co-Portfolio Manager from 2002 through 2006. He started his professional career as a senior auditor for Deloitte & Touche, LLP, and has worked in the financial industry since 1993. Kevin received his BA and MBA from the University of Iowa. Biography Todd Vingers is the President of Leeward Investments, and also serves as head of the investment team and Portfolio Manager on the team’s investment strategies. Mr. Vingers previously spent 19 years at LMCG Investments, LLC, establishing the Value team there in 2002. He has served as the Lead Portfolio Manager on Small Cap Value since 2002 and co-Portfolio Manager on Mid Cap Value since 2014. Prior to LMCG, Mr. Vingers served as a Vice President and senior portfolio manager for American Century Investments and a valuation analyst for the Hawthorne Company. He holds a BA from the University of St. Thomas and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Mr. Vingers is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute.

Biography Mr. Davidson, CFA, is a senior vice president and executive portfolio manager for American Century Investments. Prior to joining American Century in 1993, Phil was vice president and equity portfolio manager for Boatmen’s Trust Company in St. Louis. During his 11 years at Boatmen’s, he specialized in the management of institutional equity accounts using a value-oriented investment style. He has worked in the financial industry since 1980. Phil holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in finance from Illinois State University.
