Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Tourism, Basic Metals and Sports sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM), which rose 5.76% or 0.170 points to trade at 3.120 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 5.63% or 0.360 points to end at 6.760 and Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) was up 4.40% or 0.240 points to 5.690 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY), which lost 2.29% or 0.15 points to trade at 6.41 in late trade. Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) declined 1.58% or 0.160 points to end at 9.950 and Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) shed 1.56% or 0.34 points to 21.46.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 219 to 131 and 52 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.16% or 2.10 to $1320.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.18% or 0.11 to hit $61.55 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.13% or 0.09 to trade at $67.71 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.36% to 3.7489, while EUR/TRY fell 0.09% to 4.4908.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 92.01.
