Investment Strategy

The investment seeks interest income that is exempt from federal income tax. The fund invests primarily in investment-grade securities, the interest from which is excludable from gross income for federal income tax purposes (referred to herein as "tax-exempt securities"). During normal market conditions, at least 80% of its net assets will consist of tax-exempt securities. The fund's dollar-weighted average portfolio maturity is between three and 10 years. At least 80% of the fund's annual net investment income dividends will be tax-exempt and excludable from the calculation of the federal alternative minimum tax for individual taxpayers.

Biography	John Bonnell, CFA, is portfolio manager and managing director for Thornburg Investment Management. He joined Thornburg’s municipal team in 2021. John has over 30 years of municipal bond investing experience. He spent 25 years of his career at USAA where he was most recently a senior portfolio manager and, in 2010, took on responsibility for co-leading municipal bond strategies. Earlier in his career, John held credit research and municipal bond portfolio management roles at USAA.
