Investment Strategy

The investment seeks total return that corresponds with the total return of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond Index. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in bonds within its benchmark and portfolio tracking index, the Bloomberg U.S. Aggregate Bond Index. The securities purchased by the fund will mainly be high-quality instruments rated in the top four credit categories by Moody's or S&P or deemed to be of the same quality by the advisors using its own credit quality analysis.

Biography	Black is currently director of portfolio management with TIAA-CREF, her employer since 1987. She began her career at TIAA as a credit analyst and joined the CREF bond market group in 1989. In 1992, Black moved to the structured finance group and was responsible for investments in mortgage- and asset-backed securities. Black is a Chartered Financial Analyst. She is also a member of both the Fixed Income Analysts Society and the New York Society of Security Analysts.
