Investment Strategy

The fundamental investment objectives of the fund are to achieve a reasonably stable level of income and modest capital growth while also seeking to preserve capital. The fund invests primarily in Canadian fixed income securities (government and corporate), but it may also invest a smaller portion of its assets in real estate investment trusts (REITs), income trusts, dividend-paying common shares, preferred shares and other income-producing securities. The Portfolio Adviser seeks to achieve the fundamental investment objectives of the fund by investing primarily in fixed income securities issued by the federal and provincial governments of Canada, and Canadian corporations; REITs; dividend-paying common shares; preferred shares; and money market securities.
