MSIF aims to provide investors with long-term capital appreciation and/or income in SGD terms through investing primarily in Asian investment grade fixed income or debt securities. The Sub-Fund will invest in a diversified portfolio of primarily Asian investment grade fixed income or debt securities with a minimum credit rating of BBB- by Standard & Poor’s, Baa3 by Moody’s or BBB- by Fitch (or their respective equivalents) and cash. The type of debt securities that the Sub-Fund intends to invest in will be broadly diversified and would include, but is not limited to those issued by governments, agencies, supra-nationals and corporates, with no specific emphasis on geography or sectors. The Sub-Fund may employ derivatives for the purpose of hedging and/or efficient portfolio management.
