Investment Strategy

The Valmex lifecycle funds, called "Life Valmex project", are an investment alternative to allocate the resources directed to the withdrawal, or any medium- or long-term project; for each of the portfolios is set a "benchmark" or portfolio of reference which seeks to preserve, to the horizon of the Fund, the capital in real terms, i.e. in weights adjusted for inflation, as measured in UDIs (units of investment). At the same time the objective of management of each of the funds is the overcome of the reference portfolio performance. Comparatively, an investment in an instrument indexed to inflation (without credit risk) whose maturity is equal to the investment horizon, only allows to minimize subject to known performance in real terms; While life Valmex project funding, maximizing the subject performance to minimize the risk to the horizon.
