The investment objective of the Mawer Global Balanced Fund is to provide above average risk-adjusted returns by investing primarily in equity and equity-related securities and fixed-income securities from around the world. Biography | Steven Visscher joined the firm in 2005 and is an investment counsellor and co-manager of the Mawer Balanced Fund, the Mawer Global Balanced Fund, and related strategies. In addition, he is a member of the asset allocation team. Mr. Visscher received his Bachelor of Commerce Degree with distinction from the University of Alberta. He holds the Canadian Investment Manager designation and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. Prior to joining Mawer, he was an associate investment counsellor with T.E. Biography | Greg Peterson is an investment counsellor at Mawer Investment Management Ltd., which he joined in 2002. He is also lead manager of the Mawer Balanced Strategy and Mawer Global Balanced Strategy, as well as the asset allocation team lead. Mr. Peterson served on Mawer’s Board of Directors from 2004 to 2020. Mr. Peterson has been working in the financial services industry since 1991. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder; member of the CFA Institute, the Calgary CFA Society; a Calgary Flames Ambassador; and is a past treasurer and director of Ronald McDonald House, Southern Alberta. |
