The objective of the fund is to achieve an income at least in line with the equity market of the United Kingdom combined with sound prospects for capital growth. The Portfolio will principally invest in the equity securities of companies domiciled in the United Kingdom or exercising a predominant part of their activity in the United Kingdom. The Portfolio may further invest in other securities (including fixed income securities, other equities and Money Market Instruments) and hold cash. The Net Asset Value of the Portfolio shall be expressed in GBP and investment decisions will be made from a GBP perspective.

Biography | Jeremy Smith is Co-Head of UK Equities and a portfolio manager at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, having joined the company in 2015. Jeremy is also Head of UK Equity Research and has research responsibility for the oil services and support services sectors. During his tenure at Neptune and Schroders, he worked as a portfolio manager with responsibility for a range of UK equity portfolios, as well as an analyst specialising in the oil & gas and chemicals sectors. Before joining the company, Richard ran high alpha UK equity portfolios at Aviva Investors. He has also held portfolio management roles at Credit Suisse and Schroders and worked at the Bank of England. Richard has a degree in Banking, Insurance & Finance from the University of Bangor. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of the UK as well as the Chartered Institute of Bankers. |
