Investment Strategy

The investment seeks total return and income consistent with preserving capital and maintaining liquidity. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its assets in fixed income securities. It normally invests in "investment grade" securities. The fund normally will maintain a dollar weighted average duration of less than 1.5 years. The fund may also use repurchase agreements to achieve its investment objective.

Prior to this, Shannon was an analyst in the Capital Markets group where she supported both HIMCO-issued CDOs and The Hartford’s CDO investments. Biography	Jan Grindrod, Portfolio Manager, Hartford Investment Management, has served as portfolio manager of the fund since 2010. Mr. Grindrod joined Hartford Investment Management in 2007 after earning his BS in Finance from the University of Connecticut. Prior to becoming a portfolio manager within the money market sector, he was an Assistant Fixed Income Trader with responsibilities across Hartford Investment Management’s money market, interest rate, and foreign currency sectors. He began his career as a Portfolio Analyst, providing quantitative support and analytics to the Multi-Sector Portfolio Management team.

Biography	Adam, an Investment Officer, joined Hartford Investment Management in 2000 and serves as a Trader in the Money Market Sector. Adam also serves as a Portfolio Manager on short duration portfolios. Adam earned his BS in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1993, his MS in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Cornell University in 1996 and his MBA from the Yale School of Management in 2001.
