Investment Strategy

The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund invests primarily (no less than 65% of its total assets under normal market conditions) in equity securities, including common and preferred stocks, of foreign companies that the Subadvisor believes will experience growth and benefit from sustainable competitive advantages in their markets. It may invest in companies of any size located in, or economically tied to, any country or region outside of the United States, including developed foreign and emerging markets. The fund normally invests in at least three different countries outside of the United States.

Biography	Mr. Faraday is a Client Service Director where he is responsible for servicing International All Cap Clients. He has been a member of the International All Cap Portfolio Construction Group since 2007. Mr. Faraday joined Baillie Gifford's Graduate Scheme in 2002 and worked in the Manager's European, North America, Developed Asian and Emerging Markets Equity Teams before transferring to the Clients Department in 2013. Following an engineering scholarship with the Smallpeice Trust in his gap year, Mr. Faraday graduated MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge in 2002 and gained an MBA from the University of Edinburgh in 2009. He is also a CFA Charterholder. Mr. Faraday has been a member of the team since 2007.

Biography	Mr. Campbell joined Baillie Gifford in 2004 and became a partner of Baillie Gifford & Co. in 2020. He is a member of the Japanese Specialist Team. Most of Mr. Campbell's investment career has been focused on Emerging and Developed Asian markets. He has responsibility for managing various specialist Developed Asia, including Japan, portfolios and is also a member of the International All Cap Portfolio Construction Group. Prior to joining Baillie Gifford, Mr. Campbell worked for Goldman Sachs as an analyst in the Investment Banking division. He graduated BA in Modern History from the University of Oxford in 2000. Mr. Campbell has been a member of the team since 2010.

Gerard became Head of our UK Equity Team in 2007 and Chairman since 2010. He has been the lead manager of our UK Alpha strategy since launch in 2000.

Mr. Walsh joined the International Focus Portfolio Construction Group in 2014. Tom graduated LLB (Hons) in Law & Economics from the University of Edinburgh in 1999 and is both CFA and ACA qualified. He worked at Fidelity International, Merrill Lynch and Deloitte & Touche before joining Baillie Gifford in 2009.Mr. Walsh has been a member of the ACWI ex-US Alpha PCG since 2018.

Biography	Paul graduated BSc in Geology from Edinburgh University, an MSc in Petroleum Geo-science from Imperial College, and a PhD in Geology/Geophysics from Cambridge University. He joined Baillie Gifford in 2000 and is an Investment Manager in the European Equities Investment Team. Paul has been a CFA charter holder since 2003.

Biography	Munish Malhotra is an Investment Principal at Cambiar Investors. Prior to joining Cambiar in 2017, Mr. Malhotra worked at Marsico Capital Management as a Portfolio Manager/Senior Analyst for the International Opportunities and Global Flexible Capital strategies. Munish began his career at Driehaus Capital Management in Chicago as a Research Associate. Mr. Malhotra received an MA in Economics from Denver University and a BA in Finance and International Studies at Loyola University in Chicago and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
