Investment Strategy

The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. Under normal circumstances, to achieve the fund's investment objective by investing in a focused portfolio of equity and fixed-income securities. It may invest in common and preferred stock, interests in PTPs, business trust shares, depository receipts, rights and warrants to subscribe for the purchase of equity securities, and interests in REITs. The fund may invest in U.S. corporate debt securities, non-U.S. corporate debt securities, bank debt, U.S. government and agency debt securities, short-term debt obligations of foreign governments and foreign money market instruments. It is non-diversified.

Mr. Fernandez is also a member of the Board of Directors of Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation. Mr. Fernandez was a Director of Lakeview Health Systems, LLC, a privately held healthcare company specializing in rehabilitation until October 2009 and served as President until 2007. Mr. Fernandez was also the Chief Executive Officer of Big City Radio, Inc. and held various positions with IVAX Corporation until 2003, serving most recently as a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. Mr. Fernandez received his Bachelor of Arts in Finance and International Business from Florida International University in 1985.

Biography	Mr. Pitkowsky is a Managing Partner of GoodHaven Capital Management, LLC and serves as a Portfolio Manager to the Fund. As Portfolio Manager, Mr. Pitkowsky is jointly and primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the Fund’s portfolio. From July 2008 though June 2010, Mr. Pitkowsky was a research consultant to Fairholme Capital Management, LLC. From mid-year 1999 through 2008, Mr. Pitkowsky was a senior member of the investment team of Fairholme and held various key positions with Fairholme and its affiliated investment company, the Fairholme Fund. At various times, these positions included Analyst and Vice-President. Mr. Pitkowsky has managed the GoodHaven Fund since its inception in 2011.
