Investment Strategy

The objective of the Crescent Global Equity Fund is to seek to achieve moderate capital and income appreciation over a medium to long term in US Dollars by investing in shares of companies listed on the international stock exchanges and traded on markets set out in Appendix I to the Prospectus and that are Shari’ah compliant according to the guidelines of the Dow Jones Islamic Market Index. The recommended minimum investment period is three to five years.

Adam worked for Deloitte & Touche in South Africa and in London and has also held positions as analyst, portfolio manager, director, and partner of a prominent asset management organisation before he founded Oasis. He is a portfolio manager and registered as a key individual with the Financial Services Board and also serves as a member of the Finance Ministers Collective Investment Scheme Advisory Committee. Adam Ismail Ebrahim was educated at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, where he received his B.Soc.Sc (Hons) degree. He then completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting and was admitted as a Chartered Accountant and Auditor in South Africa.
