The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes) in the stocks of small-capitalization companies. The fund's portfolio managers consider small-capitalization companies to be those companies that, at the time of initial purchase, have a market capitalization equal to or less than the largest company in the Russell 2000® Growth Index during the most recent 12-month period.
