Mathilde Guillemot-Costes | - | 2015 | Now |
Biography | Mathilde is part of the company's younger generation and was the first analyst to be recruited to the team. She focuses on management and company analysis, and meets corporate executives to gain a greater insight into the challenges they face in their businesses and their financial outlook. This combination of microeconomic and macroeconomic analyses chimes fully with Dorval Asset Management's vision. Mathilde attended HEC business school preparatory class in Nantes in 2005 and obtained her Master’s in 2008, with a double major in Risk Management in Finance and Insurance from the Paris and Cergy-Pontoise business school Institut Supérieur de Commerce. She also spent a year on a university exchange in Taiwan during her studies. Mathilde draws on her range of entrepreneurial experience gained both through internships and Junior Enterprise activities to specialize in analyzing listed companies. Following the arrival of Louis Bert in 2008, Mathilde joined Dorval Asset Management as an intern, and subsequently became a full-time financial analyst. She covers European companies across all sectors and is equally at home with French small-cap companies as German or Italian large-caps. She also takes an agile approach to her career path, as she was appointed as co-manager alongside Julien Goujon of the Dorval Manageurs Small Cap Euro fund in June 2014, and the Dorval Manageurs Smid Cap Euro fund in 2017.
Julien Goujon | - | 2015 | Now |
Biography | Julien has taken on board the team’s management philosophy here at Dorval Asset Management, as he adopts an alert and determined approach, with a particular focus on corporate valuations as well as companies’ behavior on the market across his investment scope. Julien believes that the human dimension is an integral part of his role as he takes this aspect on board across all his decisions. Julien developed his bond management skills in 2009 during his first role at Promepar Gestion, a subsidiary of BRED Banque Populaire. He joined Dorval AM in 2010 and completed his training in 2011 with a Master’s in financial markets from the Institute of Business Administration (IAE) in Clermont-Ferrand. Julien is part of the company’s younger generation who provide the team with a healthy competitive spirit, open-mindedness and free thinking. Dorval AM’s two deputy CEOs’ trust in Julien has proven to be fully warranted: in January 2011 Julien was appointed buy-side financial analyst and then became co-manager with Mathilde Guillemot-Costes of the Dorval Small Cap Euro fund in 2014 and Dorval Manageurs Smid Cap Euro in 2017. When selecting an investment, Julien seeks to gain perfect insight into the business and singles out any differentiating factors that help him in developing his analysis. His approach is consistent with Dorval Asset Management’s pledge as he seeks out and draws on companies that display the strongest potential in sectors that fit with the trends and behavior identified by the portfolio management team, offering clients peace of mind.
