The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund typically invests in stocks of between 20-40 companies at one time. Up to 25% of its total assets may be invested in securities issued by companies within a single industry. The fund may invest in securities of U.S. and foreign issuers. If market conditions so warrant, it may establish short positions in specific securities or stock indices. While the advisor expects to invest primarily in equity securities, it may also invest in debt and fixed income securities, including below investment grade debt and/or fixed income securities, commonly referred to as "junk bonds."
