Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.99% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 2.86% or 0.330 points to trade at 11.870 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.55% or 0.155 points to end at 6.235 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 1.72% or 0.36 points to 21.31 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which lost 0.28% or 0.08 points to trade at 28.07 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 0.14% or 0.02 points to end at 14.47 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) gained 0.17% or 0.010 points to 5.810.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 43 and 24 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.94% or 0.45 to $48.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.74% or 0.34 to hit $45.98 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.60% or 7.74 to trade at $1271.76 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.1197, while EUR/GBP rose 0.73% to 0.8798.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 97.26.
