Investment Strategy

The investment objective of the subfund is to enable the investor to participate in the positive performance of global equity markets in the emerging markets segment for long-term investments. The emerging markets are newly industrialising countries, i.e. countries whose economic development has brought them to the threshold of industrialisation, in Europe, Asia, Central and South America and Africa. Investments in these countries involve risks. In order to achieve this objective, at least two thirds of the subfund’s total assets will be invested in accordance with the principle of risk diversification in equity securities in companies that have their registered office or the majority of their business operations in the emerging markets. A total of at least 51% of the assets of this sub-fund will be invested directly in equity securities and participation rights within the meaning of German tax law.
