Investment Strategy

The objective of the fund is to deliver a greater total return than the IA Global Sector, after fees, over any five-year period. There is no guarantee that this investment objective will be achieved over five years, or any other time period. The manager uses the IA Global sector as a target for the fund’s return because it aims to achieve a better return than the average of funds that are similar to companies. To meet the objective, the fund manager will invest at least 80% of the fund in global shares, with the remainder in cash, short-term deposits and UK government debt. Derivatives may be used by the fund for the purposes of efficient portfolio management and hedging.

Biography	Sammy has been the lead manager of an institutional global equity fund managed by Rathbones since November 2018; he is also assistant fund manager on the Rathbone Global Opportunities Fund. He joined Rathbones in July 2014 from JPMorgan Cazenove, where he worked for 14 years in Pan-European Equity Sales providing both primary and secondary advice to hedge funds and institutional and private clients. Biography	James joined Rathbones in 2000, having grown up on the island of Bermuda and graduating from Cornell University in New York. He holds the Investment Management Certificate, is a Fellow of the Securities Institute, sits on the Executive Committee of Rathbones fund management business and was appointed as a Board Director of Rathbone Unit Trust Management in November 2006.

Biography	Mr. Chillingworth joined Rathbones in July 2001 as deputy Chief Investment Director and was appointed Board Director of Rathbone Unit Trust Management in October 2001. He was appointed Chief Investment Officer in August 2002. He has over 30 years' investment experience, gained within organizations such as James Capel, Global Asset Management, Bankers Trust and Investec Asset Management. He is Chairman of Rathbones' Investment Commitee, and has responsibility for Communication and Stock Selection.

Biography	Hugh joined Rathbones in 1993 as 'Investment Guru'. He has more than 35 years investment experience and expertise. After graduating from Worcester College, Oxford he joined Henderson's before joining Rathbones. He spent 21 years at Hendersons as a Main Board Director and was Managing Director of the Witan Investment Company (from 1972). Hugh oversees the management of all Rathbone Unit Trust Funds. Hugh is a member of the Securities Institute.
