Investment Strategy

The portfolio is a specialist portfolio. The objective of the portfolio is to seek to preserve capital and to maximise income returns for investors. The portfolio will comprise a mix of high yielding equity securities, property, bonds, preference shares and assets in liquid form, both locally and abroad, thereby generating both tax free and taxable income, whilst preserving capital. The portfolio will optimise the asset allocation in order to achieve the fund objective over time. The equity exposure of the portfolio, excluding property and preference shares, would be limited to 20%. The portfolio will conform to legislation governing retirement funds. The portfolio may include non-equity securities which instrument or issuer has been assigned a rating. The portfolio may include such non-equity securities up to the limits indicated in the regulation.

He was involved in portfolio management and trading of capital market instruments, fixed interest structured products, derivatives and foreign exchange. In 2007 he was promoted to senior portfolio manager fixed interest. Ian is Head of Fixed Income at PSG Asset Management and co manages the PSG Diversified Income Fund and PSG Income Fund.
