Investment Strategy

The Prime Money Market Fund is a local money market portfolio. The investment objective of the portfolio is to provide a medium whereby investors can obtain undivided participation in a diversified portfolio of such money market instruments and assets in liquid form as defined from time to time. The primary performance objective of the portfolio is to obtain as high a level of current income as is consistent with capital preservation and liquidity. Capital gains will be of an incidental nature. The Trustee shall ensure that the investment policy, as set out above, is adhered to. For the purpose of this portfolio, the manager shall reserve the right to close the portfolio to new investors on a date determined by the manager. This will be done in order to be able to manage the portfolio accordance with its mandate. The manager may, once a portfolio has been closed, open that portfolio again to new investors on a date determined by the manager.

Asanda has 12 years of financial services experience in pensions, banking, and investment management. Asanda holds a Bachelor of Business Science from the University of Cape Town. He is Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
