The Oasis Crescent Income Fund shall be a Shariah compliant fund. The Fund is a specialist portfolio. The primary objective is to provide income from the underlying investments and where maintenance of capital appreciation will be secondary. To achieve this objective, the portfolio will consist of a combination of domestic and foreign short-term, medium term and long term income generating securities permitted by the Act under notice 131 of 2010. The portfolio may also include participatory interests or other forms of participation in collective investment schemes where such collective investment schemes are generating periodic income flows. Where the aforementioned schemes are operated in territories other than South Africa, participatory interests or other forms of participation in these schemes will be included in the portfolio only where the regulatory environment and investor protection provided is of an international standard and is to the satisfaction of the manager and trustee.

Biography | He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Oasis Group Holdings (Pty) Ltd and is the CEO and CIO of Oasis Asset Management Ltd, and Oasis Crescent Capital (Pty) Ltd., two wholly owned investment management companies. Adam also serves as a Director of Oasis Global Management Company (Ireland) Ltd, and he is a Director of both the Oasis Global Investment Fund (Ireland) plc, and the Crescent Global Investment Fund (Ireland) plc. He also serves as the CEO of Oasis Crescent Management Company Ltd, a regulated South African Collective Investment Scheme administrator. Adam worked for Deloitte & Touche in South Africa and in London and has also held positions as analyst, portfolio manager, director, and partner of a prominent asset management organisation before he founded Oasis. He is a portfolio manager and registered as a key individual with the Financial Services Board and also serves as a member of the Finance Ministers Collective Investment Scheme Advisory Committee. Adam Ismail Ebrahim was educated at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, where he received his B.Soc.Sc (Hons) degree. He then completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting and was admitted as a Chartered Accountant and Auditor in South Africa. |
