To provide capital growth with the prospect of income, over the long term (at least five years) by investing in companies whose core products and services address global sustainability challenges. At least 70% of the Fund is invested in shares of companies based anywhere in the world whose core products and services address global sustainability challenges. Up to 30% of the Fund may be invested in other assets, including shares of other companies, open-ended funds (including funds managed by Jupiter and its associates), cash and near cash. Companies must meet both a comprehensive financial assessment and environmental and social criteria including looking at a full range of ethical exclusions.

Biography | Charlie Thomas joined Jupiter in 2000 and, since September 2003, he has been the lead fund manager of both Jupiter Green Investment Trust PLC and the Jupiter Ecology Fund (Unit Trust). Charlie also manages the Jupiter Climate Change Solutions SICAV and is responsible for the management of a number of segregated mandates for Jupiter's institutional clients. Prior to Jupiter, Charlie spent three years working for BP, firstly as an Environmental Policy Adviser where he was instrumental in developing climate change strategies and policies for the group, and later as a Commercial Analyst where he worked on new business development. Charlie has also worked for the United Nations Environment Programme as well as other financial institutions. Charlie gained an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, London and a degree from Nottingham University. |
