Investment Strategy

The Fund seeks to maximise capital gain by investing principally in Shariah compliant securities listed on Bursa Malaysia. It has a flexible asset allocation strategy and may invest in Shariah compliant fixed income securities and Islamic money market instruments to meet its objective over the medium to long term.

Biography	Mr Lai has a total of 11 years of working experience in investment research and fund management. He started his career in 2012 at Inter-Pacific Research Sdn Bhd as an equity analyst, and was tasked with providing coverage on plantations, rubber products, medical examiner glove manufacturing, and small caps and also providing opinion on stock valuation, periodic sector review, and CPO price forecast. Subsequently, in 2014, he was transferred to Inter-Pacific Asset Management Sdn Bhd for the management of unit trust funds and private mandates and was primarily focusing on investment strategy based on the objectives and risk tolerance of the funds. He was a licensed fund manager’s representative with Inter-Pacific Asset Management from 1 May 2014 to 31 May 2017. He was also involved in the funds’ performance evaluation and managed the risk associated with the securities held by the funds. In terms of client relationship, he provided guidance and foresight to investors on investment and economic inquiries. In 2017, he returned to Inter-Pacific Research Sdn Bhd for the task of establishing a mentorship programme and providing guidance for new staff development. He was nominated for The Edge's Best Call Awards in 2018 for Hartalega Holdings Berhad, and one of the staff under the development programme clinched a Best Call Award for Uchi Technologies Berhad in 2017. In 2022, he participated in Bursa Market Talk, touching on global and Malaysian economic reviews and market outlooks. In June 2023, Mr. Lai has been transferred again to Inter-Pacific Asset Management Sdn Bhd to contribute his expertise and knowledge in the capital market industry.

Biography	En. Isnami has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, USA. He joined IPAM in August 2007, holds a Capital Market Services Representative’s license and brings with him 11 years of valuable experience in the fund management industry particularly in the unit trust sector. His career began in 1996 with ASM Mara Unit Trust Management Berhad as a Senior Investment Officer. It was in 2000 that En Isnami was promoted to the position of Portfolio Manager. In 2003, En. Isnami was promoted to the position of Senior Manager, Fund Management. In his position, he was required to assist the Chief Executive Officer in the Company’s administrative matters besides managing the Shariah and the conventional unit trust and corporate funds.
