The Fund will invest in bonds issued by companies and aims to provide an income of at least 110% of the income return of the benchmark, and an overall net return greater than the benchmark over the long term (5 years or more). At least 80% of the Fund will be invested in bonds (including those issued by governments and supranational organisations) issued in Sterling or hedged to Sterling, including exposure to emerging markets. A maximum of 60% of the Fund may be invested in sub-investment grade bonds, which have been independently rated as sub-investment grade with a credit rating below BBB-/Baa3.

Biography | James is heading the UK Investment Grade Credit team. He responsible for the fund management of a number of the Aviva Investors bond funds, investing in investment-grade corporates, high-yield corporates, government, and emerging market debt. James manages the Aviva Investors’ Corporate Bond Fund, Strategic Bond Fund, Higher Income Plus, Monthly Income Plus, Managed High Income, and the Distribution Fund. During 2013 the Aviva Investors Managed High Income Fund was awarded the Lipper Fund award within the Bond-Global High Yield category. In 2014 the Aviva Investors Strategic Bond Fund was the winner of the Investment Advisor 100 club Sterling Strategic Bond Fund of the year. Prior to joining Aviva Investors, James worked for JP Morgan’s Debt Capital Markets team. Chris has managed the Strategic Bond Fund since its inception in 2008. Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Chris worked as a portfolio manager for Old Mutual Asset Managers. He joined the industry as a credit analyst. Chris graduated from Durham University with a BA (Hons) in economics. Biography | Roger joined in Investment Industry in 1992. His Main Responsibilities is Managing a number of funds for insurance, pension and unit trust clients. Roger manages a variety of corporate bond funds. Roger joined the fixed income team in January 1996 after spending four years in bond fund management with Norwich Union's Spanish operation, Plus Ultra, where he was responsible for both credit and government bond funds. On his return to the UK he spent 12 months managing gilt portfolios before moving to the corporate bond team in 1997. His earlier experience included working in Norwich Union Investment Management Ltd's venture capital operation. Roger has successfully completed the associate examinations of the UKSIP.Roger has been with Swip since November 2009. |
