Investment Strategy

The objective of the portfolio is to provide investors with a net-of-fee return in excess of the annual change in the headline South African Consumer Price Index (CPI for all urban areas) over rolling one year periods. In order to achieve the investment objective, the manager will seek the benefits of diversification by investing in all available asset classes. The assets of the portfolio shall be invested in an unconstrained portfolio which includes a mix of equity securities, non-equity securities, property securities and assets in liquid form. Securities listed on any exchange outside the Republic may be included as legislation permits. The manager will adhere to prevailing regulations when investing in derivative securities. There shall be no investment resections other than those imposed by the Act and any Regulations imposed by the Registrar.
