Investment Strategy

Increase the value of its assets over the medium term by investing primarily in US small cap equities. At all times, this sub-fund invests at least 75% of its assets in equities and/or equity equivalent securities issued by companies having market capitalisation lower than the largest market capitalisation (observed at the beginning of each financial year) of the Russell 2000 index* and that have their registered offices or conduct the majority of their business activities in the United States of America.

Biography Pamela is the Head of the US Equities team at BNP Paribas Asset Management. Pamela was a Portfolio Manager and Analyst focusing on Consumer Discretionary before becoming the head of team in 2013. She joined us in 2004 and is based in Boston. Pamela is the most experienced and longest tenured member of the team. Prior to her current responsibilities, Pamela was Portfolio Manager for Consumer Discretionary. Prior to joining us, she was Vice President, Senior Equity Analyst and Global Sector Manager at Wellington Management. During her time there, she had specific responsibility for global consumer stocks. Prior to that, she was a Vice President, Equity Analyst at Evergreen Investments, and a Vice President, Industry Analyst at Merrill Lynch. She began her career as a Senior Tax Associate at Coopers & Lybrand in 1988. Pamela has over 25 years of investment experience. She earned her BS from the University of California, Berkeley and her MBA from Harvard Business School.

Biography Jim is a senior member of the portfolio management team for Adams Funds. In this role he focuses on stock selection, portfolio structure and risk management. Jim came to the Funds from the global investment management firm BNP Paribas Investment Partners, where he served as Chief Investment Officer, U.S. Equities. Prior to joining BNP, he co-founded 646 Advisors, a long/short market-neutral equity fund. He also served in portfolio management roles for Liberty Financial Corporation and Trinity Investment Management. Earlier in his career, Jim worked at Chemical Bank. Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Colorado College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He is a CFA® charterholder.
