This Sub-Fund invests in a diversified portfolio consisting primarily of fixed income / debt securities issued by Asian Entities or their subsidiaries. This Sub-Fund’s portfolio primarily consists of securities denominated in the various Asian currencies and aims to maximise total returns through investing in fixed income / debt securities that are rated as well as unrated. This Sub-Fund may invest up to 20% of its net assets in ABS, MBS, Contingent Convertible Bonds (“CoCos”), Distressed Securities and Defaulted Securities, with a limit of 10% for Distressed Securities and Defaulted Securities.

Biography | Rong Ren Goh is a Portfolio Manager in the Fixed Income team and primarily responsible for the management of Global and Japan bond strategies, as well as thematic or Total Return oriented strategies including Asia Sustainable Bond and Capital Reserve funds. He is also the co-manager of Asian Total Return Bond fund. Rong Ren joined Eastspring Investments in January 2016. Prior to joining Eastspring Investments, Rong Ren worked as a Trader at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken and Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, where he was responsible for market-making and execution of Asian currency and interest rate products. Biography | Guan Yi Low is the Head of Asia Fixed Income at M&G Investments. She joined M&G in July 2022, bringing with her more than 25 years of investment experience with a number of leading financial institutions, including Standard Chartered Bank, Fullerton Fund Management and Bank Pictet, where she was responsible for managing Asian local currency and credit portfolios. Prior to joining M&G, Guan Yi was the Chief Investment Officer of fixed income at Eastspring Investments (Singapore) where she was responsible for the oversight of the firm’s fixed income strategies and was the Lead Portfolio Manager for the Asian local currency and total return bond strategies. Guan Yi graduated from the Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor in Business (second class honors – upper). She is also a CFA charterholder. |
