DNB Grønt Norden is an actively managed equity fund which primarily invests in companies listed on Oslo Børs (the Oslo Stock Exchange) and regulated markets in the Nordic region. The fund has an environmental profile and does not invest in companies with a direct exposure to fossil fuels, or in companies with a high level of greenhouse gas emissions. The fund is subject to additional criteria beyond those in DNB’s guidelines for responsible investments and does not invest in companies involved in conventional weapons, commercial gambling or alcohol production. The fund actively seeks to invest in companies that contribute positively to the environment and companies with low carbon intensity, and to maintain an industry-adjusted ESG score that is higher than the reference index. Investment in DNB Grønt Norden normally gives a broad Nordic exposure across countries and sectors, though it may also have a large exposure to individual companies.
