Investment Strategy

The Fund aims to generate returns above the FTSE JSE All Bond index (“ALBI”) over time, utilizing active bond management combined with strategies which aim to reduce risk. The portfolio invests predominantly in domestic bonds. The portfolio is managed in compliance with prudential investment guidelines for retirement funds in South Africa to the extent allowed for by the Act. In order to achieve its objective, the investments normally to be included in the portfolio will comprise a combination of assets in liquid form and a combination of bonds and interest-bearing securities, including loan stock, debentures, debenture bonds, money markets instruments, notes corporate debt and non-equity securities.
