Biography | Esther Teo is the Head of Fixed Income Investment. She is the Designated Fund Manager for the fixed income investment of the Funds. Prior to joining the Manager, Esther Teo was a Portfolio Manager with HDBSAM and responsible for managing fixed income investment of corporate clients and unit trust funds. Prior to this, she was attached with the fixed income division of RHB Asset Management Sdn. Bhd. covering both institutional and unit trust mandates for 3 years. She began her career in KPMG Malaysia in 1999 as a consultant in financial advisory services specializing in corporate debt restructuring and recovery. Esther graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance. Esther holds a valid and existing Capital Markets and Services Representative’s Licence from the SC since 29 April 2004 to act as a Fund Manager and to carry out fund management in securities. | ||

Biography | Mr David joined AHAM in 2002 as Head of Equities and assumed the role of Chief Investment Officer in September 2006. He has been responsible for successfully steering AHAM’s investments through a tumultuous decade of multiple crisis. His astute and decisive guidance on broad investment strategies which includes interpreting market signals and making timely asset allocation calls has allowed AHAM to remain ahead of its peers. A decade later, he has built the investment team from just four (4) fund managers to a forty (40) strong group of fund managers featuring an impressive resume across different investment specialties, coverage and geographies. Under his foresight and vision, the team has evolved from being equity-heavy to encompass strong local and regional multi-asset and sector investment capabilities. His absolute return investment philosophy and bottom-up stock selection technique has garnered recognition for AHAM with its multiple award wins, having been voted “CIO of the Year” for Malaysia by Asia Asset Management 2013 awards. Mr David’s philosophy of subscribing to the long-term, not taking excessive risk, and investing into quality throughout all the portfolios has set the blueprint for AHAM’s investments in years to come. He is well-known in the industry for his discipline, prudence and reasonable attitude to investing. He graduated with a double degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Bachelor of Law from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. |
