What are the risks of trading “Intraday”, and not knowing "what the Primary-Trend to the Secondary-Trend to the Minor" is?
In Dow theory, a Primary Trend or a Major Trend is the main direction in which the market is moving. Conversely, a Secondary Trend or an Intermediate Trend moves in the opposite direction of the primary trend, or as a correction to the primary trend.
There is also a Minor Trend, in the direction of the secular or the primary trend. However, these trends last for a few days to a few weeks. These are again corrections and rallies within the intermediary trend.
On an hourly scale, we might see that the price is moving upwards, but when the chart is zoomed out to say a weekly timeframe, it might show that the overall asset is either on an up or downtrend.
So, why should this concern us?
