Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Non-Metal Minerals and S&P Lima Juniors sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 3.00% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.240 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 1.55% or 0.180 points to end at 11.790 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 1.40% or 0.020 points to 1.450 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which lost 1.94% or 0.020 points to trade at 1.010 in late trade. Unacem (LM:CEL) declined 1.57% or 0.040 points to end at 2.510 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) shed 1.43% or 0.010 points to 0.690.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 11 to 10 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.89% or 0.98 to $50.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 2.06% or 1.13 to hit $53.81 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.45% or 5.25 to trade at $1171.25 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.15% to 3.4135, while EUR/PEN fell 0.27% to 3.6698.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 100.50.
