Novo Resources Corp (TSX:NVO, OTCQX:NSRPF, ASX:NVO) is set to start follow-up drilling at Nunyerry North in the southern Egina Gold Camp (EGC) in Western Australia, while maiden drilling is planned to test three significant gold and gold-copper targets in the Karratha District.

Nunyerry North drilling

Having completed heritage clearance and earthworks and following significant results from the maiden drill program, Novo is set to commence a 4,000-metre RC drill program at Nunyerry North.

Beginning next week, the follow-up program will test significant gold targets generated during the maiden drill program in 2023. Multiple new targets will be tested along strike of known mineralisation and down plunge of existing intercepts.

Novo completed a maiden RC drilling program of 30 holes for 2,424 metres at Nunyerry North in Q4 2023, generating significant gold intercepts in quartz vein arrays (some of which are blind at surface) hosted in a particular basalt unit.

Significant intercepts from the maiden RC program included 6 metres at 6.12 g/t gold from 37 metres; 11 metres at 2.52 g/t from 22 metres, including 6 metres at 4.19 g/t from 22 metres; and 17 metres at 1.34 g/t from 37 metres, including 4 metres at 3.77 g/t from 50 metres.

The upcoming drilling program at Nunyerry North successfully qualified for the State Government’s Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS), awarding up to A$180,000 towards the campaign.

Karratha District drilling

Recent exploration in the Karratha District has advanced several drill targets, including North Whundo, Railway Bore and East Well.

Novo has planned a maiden RC drill program of around 3,500 metres to test these significant gold and gold-copper (and potential platinum-palladium) targets in the Karratha District.

The North Whundo, Railway Bore and East Well targets were defined by a combination of mapping, surface geochemistry and historic geophysics (IP chargeability and anomalies).

This program is scheduled to start in Q2 2024, immediately after the Nunyerry North drilling program is completed.

Becher (Egina JV)

Also in the Egina Gold Camp, earn-in and JV partner De Grey Mining is expected to commence its own aircore and RC programs in Q2 2024.

Aircore drilling will be completed for target generation and RC drilling completed for follow-up target testing at Heckmair, Irvine and Lowe. It will also include a high-resolution aeromagnetic survey over the Becher and Heckmair area, and ground gravity surveys in select areas.

The Egina earn-in and JV is located in the northwest of the EGC.
