Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Auto & components and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 2.22% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 0.09% or 0.1 points to trade at 115.7 at the close. Meanwhile, Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) fell 0.22% or 0.1 points to end at 48.9 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was down 0.35% or 0.3 points to 98.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo), which fell 8.47% or 70.0 points to trade at 756.0 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 6.99% or 19.8 points to end at 263.5 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was down 6.72% or 1.8 points to 25.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 161 to 22 and 1 ended unchanged.
Shares in DnB ASA (OL:DNB) fell to 52-week lows; down 0.35% or 0.3 to 98.6. Shares in Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) fell to 5-year lows; down 6.72% or 1.8 to 25.0.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.56% or 0.78 to $31.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.44% or 0.43 to hit $30.61 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.57% or 6.20 to trade at $1080.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.77% to 9.5191, while USD/NOK fell 0.61% to 8.7670.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 99.19.
