Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.58% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 3.10% or 40.0 points to trade at 1330.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 2.09% or 50.0 points to end at 2445.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) was up 1.64% or 20.0 points to 1240.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which lost 0.42% or 160.0 points to trade at 38020.0 in late trade. Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) declined 0.37% or 140.0 points to end at 38040.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) shed 0.27% or 5.0 points to 1835.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 6 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.81% or 1.18 to $147.18 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.06% or 32.00 to hit $3043.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.60 to trade at $1342.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.13% to 2921.51, while BRL/COP rose 0.20% to 904.30.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 94.49.
