Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 3.51% or 6.4 points to trade at 188.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 1.91% or 1.30 points to end at 69.30 and TeliaSonera AB (ST:TLSN) was up 1.87% or 0.72 points to 39.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 11.46% or 49.10 points to trade at 379.40 at the close. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) declined 3.66% or 1.95 points to end at 51.30 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was down 2.77% or 8.2 points to 287.7.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 315 to 218 and 46 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.79% or 0.25 to $31.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.35% or 0.12 to hit $34.34 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.21% or 2.40 to trade at $1155.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.33% to 9.4444, while USD/SEK rose 1.01% to 8.4850.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.67% at 97.16.
