Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.49% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV), which rose 6.88% or 2.47 points to trade at 38.39 at the close. Meanwhile, Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V) added 3.66% or 1.10 points to end at 31.12 and Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOK1V) was up 2.60% or 0.160 points to 6.320 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fortum Oyj (HEL:FUM1V), which fell 6.86% or 1.18 points to trade at 16.01 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) declined 2.57% or 0.1040 points to end at 3.9480 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HEL:NDA1V) was down 1.69% or 0.200 points to 11.660.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 94 to 75 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V) rose to 5-year highs; rising 3.66% or 1.10 to 31.12.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.10% or 0.06 to $56.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.59% or 0.30 to hit $50.61 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.05% or 12.00 to trade at $1131.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.0849, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.6939.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 97.97.
