Investing.com - U.S. Stock futures were little changed in early APAC deals on Wednesday, following strong gains in the previous session that saw the S&P 500 close at fresh record highs as investors cheered better than expected corporate earnings, while lower long term bond yields boosted appetite for riskier assets.
During regular trade on Tuesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 278.22 points or 0.8% to 35116.39, the S&P 500 gained 36.01 points or 0.8% to close at a fresh record high of 4423.16 and the Nasdaq Composite rose 80.23 points or 0.55% to 14761.29.
Among stocks, Activision Blizzard (NASDAQ:ATVI) lifted 6.1% in extended trade following its second-quarter earnings report, while Caesars Entertainment Corporation (NASDAQ:CZR) also added 4.28% after reporting stronger-than-expected results for the second quarter as activity rebounded to pre-pandemic levels. Robinhood (NASDAQ:HOOD) also surged 8.01% after a 24.2% spike in regular trade after going public last Thursday.
Investors will also be monitoring key ADP employment data released later in the session as well as July’s Markit composite PMI reading.
