Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Transport, Technology and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which rose 9.38% or 0.180 points to trade at 2.100 at the close. Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) added 5.76% or 1.06 points to end at 19.46 and Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM) was up 4.45% or 0.130 points to 3.050 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO), which lost 4.28% or 0.660 points to trade at 14.760 in late trade. Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) declined 3.96% or 1.200 points to end at 29.120 and Trakya Cam Sanayi AS (IS:TRKCM) shed 3.58% or 0.130 points to 3.500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 248 to 116 and 42 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.22% or 2.95 to $1322.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.64% or 0.88 to hit $54.67 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.86% or 1.13 to trade at $61.97 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.12% to 5.2182, while EUR/TRY rose 1.27% to 5.9850.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 95.222.
