Dell Technologies and Nvidia Corporation have announced an expanded partnership to support businesses in adopting artificial intelligence (AI) technologies through what they call 'AI factories'.
This collaboration builds on their initial reveal in July 2023 and was further detailed at Dell Technologies World 2024.
The new initiative aims to streamline AI adoption for businesses by integrating hardware and software solutions from both companies.
Central to this effort is the Dell AI Factory, which leverages Nvidia's advanced Blackwell chips and the new Dell PowerEdge XE9680L server, capable of supporting eight Nvidia Blackwell GPUs in a compact design.
Additionally, the Dell Generative AI Solution for Digital Assistants is designed to accelerate the deployment of digital assistants for customers.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said, "The big idea of AI, no matter the source, is that we could learn the meaning of information from the data. Every company at its foundation is intelligence. Every company will be an AI company and every aspect of computing is being changed."
Huang emphasised that this partnership represented the largest go-to-market effort in AI computing history.
He highlighted Dell's unique capability to integrate computer networking, storage and advanced cooling solutions with Nvidia's cutting-edge technology.
"Only Dell has the ability to build computer networking, storage, integrated with incredible software whether you want it to be air-cooled or liquid-cooled," he stated.
Huang also underscored the vast potential for companies like Dell and Nvidia in the AI era.
"We have two things we need to do. One, we have to modernise a trillion dollars worth of the world’s centres, and second, we have to build these AI factories for the rest of the hundred trillion-dollar industries,” he said.
This partnership marks a significant step towards making AI more accessible and practical for businesses across various industries.
