Sprintex starts production on high speed industrial blower range

Sprintex Ltd (ASX:SIX) has started production of the high-speed G15 industrial blower range following its $1.3 million capital raise in July 2023.

The money raised was to fund production equipment and parts inventory for the 15,000 units per annum e-compressors and industrial blowers.

The start of production for the G15 occurred on schedule, with the larger G26 models on track for November 2023.

Phase One production of the G15 includes a 50-units-per-day target, with production planned to expand in Phase Two to 50 units of G15 and 15 units of G26 per day.

Demand increase expected

“Kudos goes to our dedicated team that has brought production of our high-speed blowers online, on time,” Sprintex MD Jay Upton said.

“Current production rates will satisfy immediate demand and plans are underway to increase production to meet expected increased demand.”

About production

Production utilises a three-minute, semi-automated cycle for the assembly and laser welding of advanced-design motor rotors, a crucial component in high-speed blowers.

The G15 Industrial high-speed blower range spans models with power ratings from three to seven kilowatts (kW), providing food-grade clean air for a variety of environmental applications including:

  • wastewater treatment and stagnation prevention;
  • industrial applications such as food and beverage production;
  • aquaculture aeration; and
  • general industrial applications.

Growing clean energy sector revenue

The G-series blowers, more compact and efficient than existing industrial turbo and side channel blowers, feature an integrated user interface and programmable logic control (PLC). These enable the operation of the proprietary Smart-Pulse-Aeration™ technology, substantially reducing energy consumption across various applications.

Sprintex, with its cutting-edge production facility, is well-positioned to manufacture the Sprintex e-Compressor range, targeted at hydrogen and methanol fuel cell applications in the burgeoning clean energy sector. The company anticipates a significant, growing revenue stream from these mature markets.

The G26 model which is part of the G-series, offers an 80,000-hour service life and remarkable energy savings — 20% during steady-state operation and 30% during Smart Pulse Aeration. This results in a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) and quicker payback. The blowers weigh only a third of benchmarked products and are also characterised by quieter operation.

One key feature of the G26 is its Smart Pulse Aeration technology, complemented by a touchscreen interface, safety alarms and protection systems.

Sprintex plans to unveil the new G15 and G26 ranges, which offer five power increments between three kilowatts (kW) and 25 kW, at the forthcoming Water Energy Technology and Environment Expo (WETEX) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from November 15-17, 2023.
