Premier1 Lithium Ltd (ASX:PLC) is preparing a detailed geological interpretation of data from the Yalgoo Project in Western Australia after completing an airborne magnetic survey over 700 line-kilometres.
Key targets in the survey included the Carlisle, Broken Mount, Consuelo and Cumberland prospects, following up on promising indicators highlighted in historical magnetic data from the 1980s and 90s.
The survey was co-funded by neighbouring tenement holder Spartan Resources, extending the coverage area over the entirety of the Crescent and Olive Queen deposits and into Spartan’s tenure.
Data will inform drill collar targeting
“Following the completion of our successful and strongly supported raise last week, we are committed to rapidly advancing exploration across our key project area,” Premier1 Lithium managing director Jason Froud said.
“The high-resolution data from the drone survey is currently being processed and will enable a detailed interpretation of the geological and structural setting of the area and better understanding of the controls on known mineralisation.
“The new data, in combination with recent geological and structural mapping as well as geochemical sampling, will greatly enable improved drill targeting.”
Premier1 designed the survey to include the Mulloo shear zone, an area completely untested by exploration with several geological features linked to known deposits in the region.
Reprocessing of historical survey data has also revealed several complex structural features potentially linked to mineralisation across multiple prospects.
The data was acquired using a PAS HE-01 rotary wing UAV and carried out by Pegasus Airborne Systems as a sub-contractor to Atlas Geophysics Pty Ltd.
PLC will develop a detailed geological interpretation from the various data sets available before designing a drilling program to explore Yalgoo’s potential.
