Predictive Discovery Ltd (ASX:PDI, OTC:PDIYF) has unveiled a swathe of encouraging results across multiple drilling programs within the 5.38-million-ounce Bankan Gold Project in Guinea.
Multiple campaigns
These results have come back from resource definition drilling at the NEB and BC discoveries, exploration drilling at satellite targets and exploration drilling at Argo, a site 15 to 20 kilometres north of NEB and BC that host the combined resource.
The initial reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at Argo has wrapped up, consisting of 49 holes for a total of 6,989 metres.
“Completion of the initial Argo RC program is an important milestone,” said managing director Andrew Pardey.
“We are pleased to have reported many encouraging intercepts and there are multiple high-priority targets to follow up with further RC and aircore drilling. The Argo area continues to show excellent potential for new gold discoveries.
"Pipeline of targets"
“Importantly, we are successfully maintaining a pipeline of regional exploration targets to pursue and will test a number of new auger anomalies at Argo in the next phase of drilling.
“We are also planning auger programs beyond Argo within the Bokoro permit to identify the next round of regional drill targets along the 35 kilometres of major structure within the project.”
Some 26 holes from the program have yielded promising outcomes, including a follow-up RC hole at Fouwagbe that struck 4 metres at 4.81 g/t gold rom 90 metres.
This lode was down-dip of a previous result of 12 metres at 6.75 g/t from 41 metres.
In addition, an anomalous hole at Naladioulou produced these results:
- 3 metres at 1.45 g/t from 6 metres;
- 9 metres at 4.42 g/t from 60 metres; and
- 6 metres at 0.90 g/t from 96 metres.
This discovery appears to be on the same trend as a previous intersection of 1 metre at a remarkable 30.40 g/t from 56 metres, just 700 metres southwest at Gbata.
The company plans to restart RC and aircore drilling shortly at high-priority targets including Fouwagbe, Naladioulou-Gbata and Sounsoun.

Resource definition drilling
The final results from the current phase of resource definition drilling at NEB and BC are also in.
At NEB, two deep diamond drill holes continue to define underground mineralisation, with notable results including 14.4 metres at 1.68 g/t gold from 741.9 metres, recorded within the underground mineral resource envelope.
Over at BC, there were multiple significant intersections within or on the margins of the mineral resource envelope, including:
- 18.9 metres at 1.43 g/t from 53 metres;
- 15.6 metres at 1.25 g/t from 9 metres;
- 13 metres at 1.21 g/t from 13 metres; and
- 9 metres at 1.81 g/t from 68 metres.
Encouraging near-resource results
South of NEB, exploration drilling has produced encouraging RC results, with SEB uncovering 3 metres at an impressive 27.66 g/t from 11 metres, among other good results.
“Exploration drilling near NEB and BC is consistently highlighting the presence of gold close to the initial discoveries,” Pardey said.
“We will continue to strive to find additional deposits that can support a future operation centred around the current resource of almost 5.4 million ounces at NEB and BC.”
Similar success has been achieved at SB, including 3 metres at 13.24 g/t from 30 metres and 9 metres at 3.30 g/t from 72 metres.
Additional RC drilling is either completed or planned at SEB and SB. Diamond drilling is also underway at selected targets.
