Ora Banda Mining Ltd (ASX:OBM) has welcomed Jo-Anne Dudley to the team as an independent non-executive director.
Dudley, who will take up the position immediately, is an accomplished and safety-focused mining engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the global mining industry.
Her expertise includes merger and acquisition analysis, technical studies, major project experience and assurance and managing annual reporting of mineral resources and ore reserves.
Dudley has a long list of accomplishments that are globally recognised.
Notably she was named an Exceptional Woman in Queensland Resources in 2018 and a member of the 2018 Global 100 Inspirational Women in Mining.
She was also awarded the 2019 Chief Executive Women Scholarship to the Wharton Executive Development Program and was a keynote speaker at the 2023 AusIMM Underground Operators' Conference.

Bringing valuable experience to OBM
Dudley holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining with Honours from the University of New South Wales, a Graduate Certificate in Technology Management from Deakin University, and is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM). She is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Her background includes a previous role as chief operating officer at Turquoise Hill Resources, listed on both the TSX and NYSE and she has served as senior manager for Strategic Mine and Resources Planning at Rio Tinto Ltd (ASX:RIO)'s Oyu Tolgoi Mine in Brisbane, Queensland.
OBM will also draw in her past experience as mining engineer and senior mining engineer at North Ltd’s Northparkes Mines.
