Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.41% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were DSM Kon (AS:DSMN), which rose 1.66% or 0.91 points to trade at 55.61 at the close. Philips Kon (AS:PHG) added 1.13% or 0.30 points to end at 26.80 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) was up 1.01% or 0.120 points to 11.950 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ArcelorMittal SA (AS:ISPA), which lost 2.05% or 0.124 points to trade at 5.927 in late trade. NN Group (AS:NN) declined 1.87% or 0.51 points to end at 26.55 and Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) shed 1.63% or 0.33 points to 19.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 124 to 45 and 11 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 2.16% to 23.84 a new 3-month high.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.72% or 0.77 to $43.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.96% or 0.91 to hit $45.44 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.85 to trade at $1304.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1119, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8886.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 97.07.
