Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Real Estate and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI), which rose 5.34% or 112 points to trade at 2209 at the close. Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) added 3.39% or 40 points to end at 1220 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was up 2.70% or 0.50 points to 19.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which lost 9.96% or 12.40 points to trade at 112.10 in late trade. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) declined 7.13% or 1.69 points to end at 22.00 and Taslif (CS:TSF1) shed 5.98% or 2.39 points to 37.61.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 27 to 11 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.87% or 1.41 to $47.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.91% or 1.48 to hit $49.40 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.23% or 3.15 to trade at $1343.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.13% to 10.9620, while USD/MAD rose 0.01% to 9.6700.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 94.53.
